What is Naavik AI in Shipping?
A practical 30-day learning pathway introducing AI concepts through maritime examples, with lessons, assignments, and guided application.
Who is the course for?
Maritime students and cadets, seafarers, officers, and shipping professionals interested in understanding AI and exploring responsible workflows.
Do I need coding experience?
No coding prerequisite is required for the introductory learning path. Some optional technical topics may benefit from data or programming familiarity.
How do lessons unlock?
After enrollment is activated, lessons open sequentially. Submit the current day's assignment to unlock the next course day.
Will I receive a certificate?
After completing all 30 lessons and submitting all required assignments, you can request a Naavik course-completion certificate from your learner dashboard. Naavik reviews the request before issuing it. It is not an accredited or regulatory maritime qualification.
Booking and payment
What are the course prices?
The professional plan is ₹1,499. The ₹499 student/cadet plan requires approval of a separate eligibility verification request.
When does course access start?
Checkout creates a unique Razorpay payment link tied to your learner account. Course access begins after the server validates Razorpay’s signed payment confirmation, amount, and plan. The production API keys and webhook must be configured by the site owner; a browser return alone never activates access.
How do students and cadets get the lower rate?
Submit the student/cadet verification request from your account. Naavik reviews the information; selecting a maritime role during signup is not itself approval.
Accounts, offline access and the app
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes, Google sign-in is available alongside email and password, subject to your browser and account setup.
Can I use the course offline?
Enrolled learners can prepare their unlocked course package on a device for offline study. Public browsing, sign-in, payments, certificate requests, access to newly unlocked lessons, and synchronization require an internet connection. See Offline & app for details.
Is there an app to download?
Naavik is an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) in supported browsers. Use the install option on the Offline & app page or your browser's Add to Home Screen / Install menu. It is not a separate app-store listing.
What if I paid but my account is not enrolled?
Contact officialnaavik@gmail.com or +91 99530 73123 with your account email and Razorpay payment reference. Do not send passwords, card details, CVV, or UPI PIN.
Responsible AI and support
Can AI replace maritime procedures or professional judgment?
No. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It must not replace the master's authority, company SMS and approved procedures, official charts and publications, COLREGs, manufacturer instructions, applicable regulations, or qualified professional judgment.
Can I upload vessel or company information?
Only use information your organization has approved for the specific tool and purpose. Do not submit confidential vessel, crew, cargo, security, or company information to public AI tools.
